It’s been a long time. I haven’t opened this blog in 10 months and 10 days and each day I spent away from it made it that much more difficult to start again.
(If you do not have patience for drama, I suggest skipping to the part where the font changes.)
The thing about competitive exams is that it narrows your life down to a single lane; that grows more congested the longer you’re in it. So what can you do about it?
One is that you can rush through the lane with herculean focus and come out the other end.
Second is that you can say screw you and take an exit out of it; which means a major life decision.
Third and the worst, is that you plod through with pain-staking determination regardless of the interim complications.
Third is what I attempted to do and as a result of that, I lost a bit of my sanity and a lot of my cheerfulness.
The last 10 months have been difficult. I was not able to study or read or even write my feelings out. In the dried up well of my creativity, I finally made a decision to stop letting an exam dictate my life.
So, yes, I’ve given my exams. I’ve done what I could and I’m ready to accept any consequences as may be. The important thing is I’m no longer going to sit in the same place and pick through my mistakes. I’m going to move on with my life in every possible way available to me starting from this moment.
Starting with this blog!
So, I’m back and I’m reading and I’m ready to write and review my butt off.
Come at me, world!
Now that I’ve calmed down the histrionic side with those dramatic declarations above, let’s get down to the brass tacks.
I sincerely apologize for my disappearing act.
A bunch of review requests were lying in my inbox unread since February. I have replied to all that needed replying and if I haven’t replied that’s because I’ve obtained your book already.
I’m making a to-read list and I’ve already started reading. As soon as a book is done, I’ll post a review on this blog and wherever else you want me to and also intimate you by mail.
If any of you reading this have any books that you want me to review, my email address is email@example.com and I prefer epub versions.
Cheers and keep writing 😊
